I was working in the ED when all the tornados came through Sanford, we started getting reports of the Lowe's hardware being destroyed and then we started moving beds, calling extra hands, and preparing for all the people. As everyone started arriving it was like a scene from a movie. The first people were soaking wet, dirt and grass blasted all over them, and several lacerations and injuries. They had been in a ditch when the tornado passed around them. Then people started coming in from various scenes like MVCs and collapsed houses. We sent several to surgery, one was flown out (after the weather cleared) and the rest were treated and sent on their way. It was a crazy scene and there was a lot of damage to the eastern part of NC.

We didn't have too much damage from the storm where I live but a tree limb did break off and fall onto the roof damaging the roof and the ac units. No one in the house was hurt, they were all hiding in the basement!
